Some Big Numbers

Over the past couple of months, we’ve added 25,000 users and continue to see increased engagement and enthusiasm around finding ways to take action when it comes to politics. We saw our total downloads hit 55,000. And, we are also seeing great reactions to the news bias ratings feature.

Many Voices of America Campaign

At the beginning of April, We launched the ‘Many Voices of America’ outreach campaign with the goal of partnering with new organizations, from across the political spectrum, and encouraging them to use the platform to provide new ways to activate their supporters and connect with politically engaged users. Beyond just wanting to grow the number of campaigns available to our user base, the campaign provides a more ideologically representative array of groups for user to interact with.

The goal is to move Capitol Call past its roots as a response to the election of the Trump Administration. It’s true, many of the first groups to use Capitol Call were politically left-leaning. After a swift initial launch, we did some reflection and have come to the realization that one of the greatest dangers to our democracy is the echo chambers and political bubbles we all live in. We want Capitol Call to be a tool for activists and advocacy groups of all political persuasions. We can’t further the cause of Democracy if we only hear from others with our same opinions.

With that in mind, this campaign specifically targets a politically diverse collection of advocacy groups. This effort will round out the advocacy options presented to our users and create a digital space as diverse as the country our government represents. We strongly believe that our country is stronger when all voices can #BeHeard.
